Born and raised in Minnesota, Stacy McCarthy, DVM, received a B.S. in Animal Science and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. After graduation, she moved to Miami, Florida where she worked for two years as an associate veterinarian in a small animal clinic. Realizing she missed the change of seasons, Dr. McCarthy made Syracuse home in May 2012, where she has continued her career as a small animal veterinarian.
Dr. McCarthy's professional passion is animal behavior, where she helps people better understand and communicate with their pets, thus strengthening the human animal bond. Her professional interests also include internal medicine and cardiology. She is the proud mom of four rescue cats, Bossy, Monty, Evy, and Tux and also two goats, Nestle Crunch and Peaches. Her personal interests include running and watching Syracuse basketball.
